What day is it?

What day is it?  And in what month?
The clocks strikes again and again.
The lifeless awaken,
Bring forth the night.
Echoes of emptiness sing.

I don't know why,
But somehow I know
Everything is ok.
And I can't understand
Just how it works.
It all ticks again,
And slowly the life drains away.

Resounding once more
The voice of the heavens
Cries out with silence
To those of us who have no ears
And who won't listen anyway
Because we don't care

What day is it?  And in what month?
The clock chimes again and again.
