She was sitting lonely at the keyboard
Staring tightly to the screen
She heard the loud phone as it rung
Broke the silence of the night.
She answered with a chearful heart
Heard the words that "Kyle has died."
She couldn't believe the words tonight
But still the words came once again.
Silence fills her mind and soul
Left her screaming and all torn
Life shouldn't trully be this way
But death has sown and has reaped.
To the river the boy had gone
Forgot to wear a simple jacket
Born to die at such young age.
What good you ask shall come of this?
To the river she is going
Bringing pain she cannot bear
All the friends and people going
Singing songs of great despair
Tears are left to stream the face
Soak like water and like rain
Family hurt more than she is
Nothing left for her to do.
From the river she is coming
Keeping pain she still must bear
All the crying she is doing
Is the only way to care.
When she gets home this bloody night
All the phones are ringing thus.
Not a spare of silence left for her
No time to cry and grieve
Still she tells us of the sorrows
And pains that she shall bear
All the grief that satan borrows
And the grin that he has there
As the lord has taught me thus
I shall grieve with her I must
These words, they are just words
Like the songs that fly away.
