i still remember quiet nights,
and all the silly fights:
who should share a secret first?

wasted time deciding
where to go and what to do.
starlight cuddles,
whispered struggles,
and sunset puddles.

i still remember
all those reasons i wish i could forget.

I redid this poem for a poetry class, and thought I should update the original deviation.

Original Text
i still remember the starlit nights
and the whispered dreams.
the silly fights about who
would share their secret first.
the dreamy times
lost in hours of holding hands.

i still remember
all the reasons i wanted to forget

Wow. I've been reading a bunch of your poems. It's amazing how you can convey so much emotion with such few words. From one writer to another; I tip my hat to you.

So very very true. I mean in one swift flicker of a thought we pass through ourselves and OVERWHELMING amount of emotion. And though it takes work to get that out sometimes, sometimes you can describe with with just as small length of time, but with as much power as the emotion itself.

Quite true. :aww: Words are a powerful form of communication.

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, and the word was god, and the word was with god in the beginning." :aww: God's nature is truth, and when he speaks, he speaks true, so when God said "light" it became into existence and we have light :)

My words are not that powerful, but I am not the author of the universe :)

Very true. Maybe that's why I like words so much? The Author of the Universe spoke words and created such glorious magnificent things. We talk to Him using words, thoughts. Maybe I could create something beautiful too? But only through Him. (Hence my user TalentedThruHIM.)

 I do like your username :)

"God said 'let us make man in our own image'. So he created him. Male, and female he created them"

You can create wonderfully beautiful things, because we are creations in the image of our God. This image is not just the physical, more a more wholesome complete image. We are reflections of god's nature, though through mistakes and our desire to have dominion we ended up being drawn away. Though Christ has come to restore us into his family. We can do nothing pleasing without Christ, because everything we do apart from Him is contrary to his design that we be submitted to the Spirit.

Because God is a creator/author/writer, we are reflections of these very same attributes

PS: My name is Jake. Nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you, Rose :) That's a lovely name.

I'm not one to entirely believe (or dismiss) Shakespeare in these matters.

"What's in a name? That which we call a Rose would smell as sweet, were it called by any other name."

Names are very powerful. Especailly in the archaic sense, as meant in scriptures. Name meaning legend, or weight of the personality. So "Seas bowing down at the Name of the Lord" are bowing down not because of a simple word but rather the reputation of the person.

Names in other cultures (especially older ones) held more meaning than they do now. But we still can use them as a means of invoking reputation. "Do you know who my father is?" sort of things.
