Literature Text

Black wings flap beneath the skies
As the darkness fades, and summer comes
The drums are rolling,
And the tide is going out.
It's time again for the night to fly
Once more with the bright of day.
The black winged angels, with the white,
Sing forth their song again.
Twice the bell has rung again,
Thrice to ring before the end,
For bright the black wing's flight
As it races 'cross the bright lit skies.
This is the poem that :iconarpie: requested as her reward for hitting my 100th watcher mark.

Thank you, for all your wonderful support over that past year or so, and I hope you enjoy!

Great! I especially like
"The black winged angels, with the white,
Sing forth their song again." --good use of chiaroscuro in those lines. :D
A pretty, euphonious depiction of ravens, which can be very moody creatures at times...
