My First Emoticon

Description

Hey :D I decided to try my hand at pixel animation! It sounded like so much fun, so I'm reading tutorials about emoticons and animations.

I'd gladly take (simple) suggestions for emotes to try. If you request something simple enough I'll go ahead and give it a try.

*I hope you enjoy this little purple dude*

EDIT: I made the emote take longer between each blink.

Hee! It's really cute, but I think it might be a bit more interesting if it actually did something. Even something as simple as changing from a smirk to a lack of expression to a small smile, or possibly a small turn of the head. Another thing I noticed is that the blinking animation if a bit fast and a bit too frequent; he almost looks like he's looking into a strobe light and it's making him squint whenever it flashes on. It's really very good for your first time making an animated emote, but it's just... not very interesting. However, I like the expression, and the execution of shadows and highlights. It's all... shiny. :) I might be rating it a bit weirdly, but I'm not good with the stars thing... <img src="e.deviantart.com/emoticons/a/a…" width="19" height="19" alt="^^;" title="Sweating a little..." /> well, I hope this was helpful! :)
