Broken hearts
Can't be mended
With a stolen hammer,
Nor fixed with
Iron fists.

Broken stars
Crash longingly
Into the crest
Of eternity,
Wishing for an end.

But it never comes.

Whispers of
That nameless fear:
Love,

Broken hearts
Are mended
On the back
Of unrelenting sorrow.

Broken stars
Fall into your hands,
Where words craft
A bridge to nowhere.

That's exactly where you are.
Wrote this for :iconpaperheartsyndrome: on one of her pieces of lovely wonderful stunning poetry.

Go. Read her stuff. Now.

I read this one in the comments of :iconpaperheartsyndrome:'s poem. =]
It's great. I love the "no where" and "now here". it's like, a word play, or something. and that's always my favorite. :)

...wow. It's like you took love & heartbreak and captured it with words...
